The EHS Safety and Wellness Week started on Tuesday, November 7th with a variety of safety and wellness activities. Simulator stations, including our new VR Hazard Recognition and Construction Hazards Recognition modules, were set up in the Admin breezeway! The simulator room was open to participants interested in testing out their skills on the fork truck and overhead crane.

Northern Safety and Industrial, 3M, and Grainger, were set up showcasing PPE. Team members had the opportunity to receive flu shots from our medical team members and learn about the benefits of ergonomic stretching exercises from wellness. The “Totally Wasted Goggles” from TriStar Skyline Medical Center were a huge hit, with many failed attempts at corn hole! TriStar representatives also reviewed the Stop the Bleed program, training available to better prepare for a bleeding emergency. Representatives from Fuller Life and Hope House counseling were onsite to discuss mental health services. Human Resources provided information on the mental health and well-being benefits available to Logan team members through our EAP program

On Thursday, November 9th, the Regional Nurses Network meeting featured guest speaker, MedCenter Health Doctor, Fikret Sabic, who discussed the Physical Demands Analysis in the workplace.

Thank you to our EHS team members, medical staff and volunteers for demonstrating the safety and wellness benefits, technology, and training opportunities available at Logan!
